Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad is a nationwide competition. Students compete in 23 events that include earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Science Olympiad is designed to increase a student’s interest in STEM fields and provide recognition for outstanding achievement in team events. Students compete in Science Olympiad with the top teams advancing from Regional to State to National levels.

10/5/19

  • Change to Ping Pong Parachute Rules: Modified Ping Pong Parachute Rules
  • Events with Device Test and Written Test: If a team does not bring a device to test that resembles the device as detailed in the National event rules, then the team will be placed in tier 2.
  • All Events Allowing Notes: If a team chooses to use two sheets of paper for notes in place of one sheet of paper, then the two sheets MUST be laminated so they cannot be pulled apart.
  • Note: Event Supervisors cannot make exceptions to any tournament or event rulesincluding the rule changes listed above.
